The standard specifies three methods for the determination of Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd and Pb in water by flame atomic absorption spectrometry. The first one by direct determination, the second one after chelation with APDC and extraction with MIBK, the third one after chelation with HMA-HMDC and extraction with DIPK-xilene.
