The standard defines the guidelines for general procedures to be considered during the course of diagnosis of the vibrational state of rotating machinery. It is intended to be used by operators, engineers and technicians and provides a practical approach structured to fault diagnosis. In addition, it provides examples of common faults to a wide range of machines.
Guidelines for specific machines will be provided in other standards of the ISO 13373 series.
