The standard establishes a common system in identifying and marking with the use of identification technology by radio frequencies. The standard has been updated to the addition of a new registration body in Appendix B and the new Appendix E concerning the definition of the data identification scheme (ISD). In addition she was taken to Appendix C which provided a list of RFDI coding and marking, the manufacturer of gas cylinders, which will be published in a separate document as ISO / TR 17329.
