This standard specifies, for the different types of confined and/or suspected pollution spaces:
a) the criteria for:
- their classification;
- hazard identification and risk assessment;
- the development of operational and emergency procedures for activities in such spaces;
- the choice of work equipment and instruments;
b) the requirements on collective and individual protective equipment;
c) the tasks and roles of the workers involved in the activities.
Furthermore, in Annex A, it provides an illustrative list of possible risk factors in confined and/or suspected pollution spaces.
