UNI 11578:2015

This standard specifies requirements and test methods for anchor devices which incorporate stationary or travelling (mobile) anchor points and which are intended to be permanently installed onto or into the structure, designed for: - allow more than one user to be attached at any one time; - the attachment of components of a personal fall protection system in accordance with UNI EN 363. This standard also gives requirements for marking and instructions for use, and guidance on installation. It is fundamental to note that, although requirements and test methods are specified for anchor devices intended to be installed onto specifically simulated structures, the compliance to this standard does not replace the verification of the anchor system installed onto or into the particular structure. This standard does not apply to: • temporary, removable and transportable anchor devices which are the subject of the UNI EN 795 or the UNI CEN/TS 16415; • equipment designed to conform to UNI EN 516 or UNI EN 517; • elements or parts of structures which were installed for use other than as anchor points or anchor devices, e.g. beams and girders.
