This standard defines the characteristics and test methods of the pipes in low density polyethylene to be used for the transport of fluids under pressure in systems in which a condition with pressure in a discontinuous manner is expected to be performed (0 to PFA).
The periods of the system pressure, does not need to be the predominant part of the life of the pipe.
These pipes are not suitable for use in water systems nets that convey water for human consumption(mains and laterals), in the fire networks, for industrial use.
If the pipes are expected to be used for the transport of water intended for human consumption and / or food fluids, the requirements of current legislation shall be satisfied.
